On a fall evening, the Mary Sharpe School shines in splendor as she approaches her new life as a multi-family home for many.
Constructed in 1909, then abandoned as unsalvageable by the local school board, McKissick Associates provided design support to our partner McKissick Properties in seeing that this building was individually placed on the National Register, receiving both state and federal historic tax credits and constructed with private funding.
Mary looks forward to again hearing the sound of footsteps echoing in her halls in the first quarter of 2027.
